Rangers fans react on Twitter to Dodoo display v Celtic

By Harvey Byrne

Rangers fans were pleased with the performance of youngster Joe Dodoo once more against Celtic on Sunday afternoon.

The 21-year-old attacker has impressed at the Gers in recent weeks, but he was restricted to a start from the bench at Hampden against the Hoops for the Scottish Cup semi-final clash.

Manager Pedro Caixinha did however make the decision to bring the pacey wide man on at half time, but it proved too late as the Gers fell to a 2-0 defeat against their fierce Glaswegian rivals.

Despite not being able to help turn the scoreline around Dodoo was one of few Rangers players to receive praise on social media.

A number were keen to state that they would start Dodoo in future matches, while one fan claimed he had done more than Martyn Waghorn and Joe Garner did combined on Sunday.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Dodoo joined the Gers from Leicester in the summer and has so far featured in 21 matches in all competitions for the Glasgow giants.

He has managed to return five goals and three assists in those outings and it is clear supporters want to see more from him before the season’s end.

In other Rangers news, Gers fans also destroyed this 25-year-old on Twitter after the Celtic clash.
