Rangers fans react on Twitter to Toral display v Hamilton

By Harvey Byrne

Jon Toral won a penalty and scored a goal for Rangers in their 6-0 victory over Hamilton on Saturday afternoon, and Gers fans on Twitter were impressed by him.

The 22-year-old Spaniard made the loan switch to the Scottish giants in January from English heavyweights Arsenal.

He had so far unimpressed in his opening appearances for the club and a number of fans slammed him for his display against St. Johnstone in midweek.

However, the midfielder played the full 90 minutes and had a huge say in sending Graeme Murty’s team into the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Goals from Martyn Waghorn and Clint Hill alongside a Joe Garner hat-trick as well as Toral’s effort helped the Ibrox giants complete a comfortable victory.

Toral has so far played in nine games for Rangers in all competitions, bringing a return of one goal and one assist.

Supporters will now be hoping he can bring this form over to the league with fierce rivals Celtic coming up next.
