Campbell tips in-demand midfielder to join PL club after rejecting Rangers interest
John Lundstram has plenty of “suitors” for his signature otherwise he wouldn’t be turning his back on joining Rangers.
That is according to ex-Premier League goalscorer Kevin Campbell, speaking to Football Insider after this site exclusively revealed the 26-year-old Sheffield United midfielder is not considering a Light Blues move this summer.
Lundstram, who has featured 20 times for Chris Wilder’s side this season, has long been linked with a move north of the border as well as to several Premier League clubs.
His current Blades deal is set to expire in the summer and, quoted by BT Sports, he said of his potential Bramall Lane exit: “anything is still on the table.”
Football Insider understands Rangers registered their interest in Lundstram.
Campbell says Lundstram would not have rejected it unless he was certain there were no other teams in for him.

He told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs: “I think there’d be suitors in the Premier League for him. He’s a combative midfielder, good energy, puts his foot in and can run all day.
“There are plenty of teams who could do with a midfielder like that.
“I just think it’s been a great shop window, playing at Sheffield United.
“But believe you me, you don’t turn down Rangers if you haven’t got someone looking at you in the background. So I’m sure he has suitors in the Premier League.”
Liverpool-born Lundstram began his senior career with Everton in 2012, staying with the club until 2015 but failing to make a first-team appearance.
After several loan spells, he joined Oxford United in 2015 before signing for Sheffield United two years later.
