Rangers player ratings v Celtic: Duo get 4/10 despite clinching late draw
By Will Butcher
Football Insider rates the Rangers players out of 10 after they secured a 1-1 draw against Old Firm rivals Celtic on Sunday afternoon.
Wes Foderingham 6 – Had little to do other than pick the ball out of the back of the net following Armstrong’s powerful opener.
Lee Hodson 6 – Did his job with little note, after being a surprise inclusion in the Gers starting eleven. Kept Scott Sinclair quiet.
Clint Hill 7 – Off the pace. Committed a number of fouls and was made to look silly by Moussa Dembele. However, he went from zero to hero when he found the back of the net late on.
Danny Wilson 5 – Caught on his heels by Dembele at times, but was lucky not to be punished.

Lee Wallace 7 – Although the Gers captain was lacking in pace up against James Forrest, the left-back prevented Forrest from delivering on multiple occasions in what was a frustrating afternoon for Celtic’s right winger.
James Tavernier 6 – Did okay in midfield after being brought forward from right-back, but did look like he was playing out of position at times. Handful of nice touches.
Jason Holt 4 – Combative display, as he looked to break up Celtic’s attacking play. Shocking mistake in lead-up to Stuart Armstrong’s opener, as he fluffed his chance to clear.
Emerson Hyndman 6 – Drove forward with confidence when in possession. Looks the part.
Barrie McKay 6 – An array of nice touches on the left flank but struggled to get involved with Celtic dominating possession and proceedings. A top player in the making, though.
Martyn Waghorn 4 – Missed a golden chance to give the Gers the lead after a Dedryck Boyata mistake, but his effort was thwarted, and had another huge chance in the second half.
Kenny Miller 7 – Connected the midfield with the attack well but could have seen red early on for a lunge on Stuart Armstrong.
Josh Windass (On for McKay, 59 mins) 6
Harry Forrester (On for Holt, 81 mins) 6
