Rangers 'prospect' may have ended Itten's Ibrox career - pundit
Cedric Itten may have no long-term future at Rangers, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed the arrival of Fashion Sakala could be bad news for Itten’s Ibrox hopes.
The big Swiss forward joined Bundesliga outfit SpVgg Greuther Fürth on loan for the rest of the campaign on deadline day.
The 24-year-old started just one game for the Gers this season despite Alfredo Morelos missing the beginning of the season.
He will be out of contract at Ibrox in the summer of 2024 after he penned a four-year deal after signing from St. Gallen last August.
The four-time Switzerland international scored six times in 38 games across all competitions, including nine starts, in his first season in Glasgow.

Asked whether Itten may not have a long-term future at Ibrox, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Yeah, Rangers have got a lot of good strikers.
“I saw Sakala came on against Celtic and he looked very quick. He probably needs a bit of help with his movement and holding the ball up. He looks a prospect.
“Rangers have got a lot of options up top. That helps if Morelos is not playing or in form to have options who can replace him is good at a football team.”
Sakala moved to Rangers on a free transfer in the summer after his Oostende contract expired.
The Zambia international, 24, made his fourth appearance for the Gers in the 1-0 win over Celtic just before the international break.
