McLeish: Rangers star Aribo could be in line for 'Manchester' move after update
Rangers star Joe Aribo could potentially be on the radar of one of the two Manchester clubs ahead of the January transfer window.
So says former Gers and Scotland boss Alex McLeish, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the in-form midfielder’s future at Ibrox.
Crystal Palace, Watford and Brentford are targetting Aribo ahead of the window opening next month, as per the Daily Mail last Tuesday (30 November)
A Rangers source told Football Insider (19 October) that it will take a bid of at least £10million to prise Aribo away from Ibrox in January.
The 25-year-old, who has entered the final 18 months of his contract, has three goals and two assists in his last four league outings.
McLiesh insists that it is no surprise to see the Nigeria international attracting attention south of the border.

“Rangers will want to tie down their asset, I’m sure of that,” he told Football Insider‘s Russell Edge.
“These are the kind of teams in the Premier League that you’d expect to be interested in him.
“Maybe they aren’t the very biggest names but they are certainly good clubs.
“All the analysts know about his rise at Rangers to becoming a very good senior footballer.
“London is certainly attractive but there are fantastic teams all over the country.
“It’s a huge decision. Most players have the desire to play in the Premier League because it’s the strongest and richest league in the world.
“Whether it’s London or he goes to Manchester or something, that remains to be seen.
“But for now, Giovanni van Bronckhorst seems to have brought a spark into the team, a change of system.”
Aribo will likely feature when Rangers take on Hearts today (12 December).
He has started all 16 of the Scottish champions’ Premiership matches this term.
