Rangers told to submit Kamara contract offer immediately after journalist update - pundit
Noel Whelan has urged Rangers to push through a new contract for Glen Kamara amid reported interest from Watford.
The former Aberdeen striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 25-year-old would commit his future to Ibrox if the terms are right.
Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari has reported (June 15th) Watford have opened talks to try and sign the Finland international.
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on May 3rd Arsenal are also keen on re-signing their former academy prospect.
Kamara’s current contract runs until 2023 but he revealed there had been talks over a new deal back in March.
With interest building from Englandm Whelan urged Rangers to ramp up discussions as soon as possible.

“We know important he was for Steven Gerrard last season,” Whelan told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“He’s a player I’m sure Steven Gerrard will desperately not want to lose. I know that contract is there but I think you’ve got to look at offering him a new contract now.
“It’s got to be right for the player because right now it looks more appealing to be at Rangers than it probably would at Watford.
“They’re in a really good place, he looks like enjoying his football. You’ve got Champions League football to look forward to. Surely he wouldn’t want to miss out on that.”
He joined the Glasgow giants for just £50,000 from Dundee back in January 2019.
He has made a total of 106 appearances to date, while he also has 30 Finland caps under his belt.
