Celtic fans have been quick to mock Rangers’ maestro Nicolas Raskin after he heavily struggled in Belgium’s 0-0 draw vs Iran.

The midfielder has become a key component for the Red Devils in recent years, and his performance against Egypt saw him rewarded with a start on Sunday.

However, the 25-year-old proved to be ineffective next to Youri Tielemans, and he was eventually hauled off just before the hour mark.

As a result, Celtic fans were quick to take to social media to mock Raskin, labelling the performance as “embarrassing” after Belgium’s Group G qualification hopes were taken to the final game.

Raskin has been heavily linked with a move away from Ibrox this summer after Rangers failed to qualify for the Champions League.

The Gers may have hoped for a strong World Cup from the midfielder to boost his price tag with multiple clubs lurking.

Nicolas Raskin roasted for Belgium performance vs Iran

In Belgium’s first game of the tournament, Raskin had an excellent game off the bench in the 1-1 draw against Egypt.

The midfielder helped to change the match, and this no doubt helped convince manager Rudi Garcia to place him in the lineup over Aston Villa star Amadou Onana.

However, Raskin had little to no impact on the pitch and often lost possession of the ball, while failing to create anything in attack.

Celtic fans were quick to notice just how poor the Raskin star was against Iran, and did not hold back in their assessment of his performance on X.

Are Rangers willing to sell Raskin this summer?

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Rangers are open to selling Raskin this summer if they receive a suitable offer.

Several Premier League sides are believed to be interested, as well as Serie A outfit Atalanta.

The 25-year-old has played down rumours of an imminent move away, insisting that his current focus remains on Belgium's World Cup campaign.

Derek McInnes is set to shake up the Gers’ squad after succeeding from Danny Rohl as the club looks to finally end their hunt for a trophy.

However, it remains to be seen if he will be part of Rangers’ team come the end of the summer transfer window.
