Rangers fans go berserk as 2026-27 leak emerges: 'Honestly, that's embarrassing'
Rangers fans are not happy with their apparent new home kit for next season after another leak appeared on social media.
The Ibrox club have a lot to do on all fronts this summer after a disappointing 2025-26 campaign.
Their managerial situation has been plunged into uncertainty over the last week after Danny Rohl emerged as a top target for Red Bull Salzburg.
Rohl is now expected to join the Austrian club, with the Gers moving to appoint Hearts manager Derek McInnes as his successor.
McInnes will hope for a successful return to Ibrox if he does take over soon, but many fans are already fearing for next season after seeing the kit that the Rangers stars are set to wear at home.
Rangers switched kit suppliers ahead of last season as Umbro took over from Castore following their five-year partnership with the club.
Many fans of a certain vintage were pleased to see Umbro return after they produced some iconic kits for Rangers in the 1980s, but their latest leaked shirt is not capturing any imaginations.
Rangers fans unhappy with leaked home shirt as 'embarrassing' claim made
Rangers' board members are not too popular with the supporters as it stands after such a poor 2025-26 season.
They need every little thing to go their way this summer to get fans back onside, but have started poorly with leaks of their possible new home shirt.
One fan posted what they presumed to be the currently unreleased 2026-27 home shirt on the Gers' Reddit page after it was spotted hanging up in a shop.
The picture drew several negative reactions, with one supporter saying: "That is absolutely hideous. Pinstripes," with a sick emoji.
While another said: "That is horrendous," and one added: "Honestly, that is embarrassing."
Some fans tried to be positive, with one replying: "Get rid of the sponsor and it would look great," but the overwhelming reaction was negative, as another called it "genuinely terrible."
How did Rangers' fans react to their official new away kit?
Sources have told Football Insider that Rangers' chiefs are already scrambling to add players to their squad after a tough start to the summer.
Off-field issues are already prevalent, and so the last thing they need is fans getting annoyed at something so inconsequential as their kits for next term.
Their new white away shirt has already been released, and fans were also not happy with how that looked, as one said: "Hideous. Castore were an embarrassment, Umbro are 10 times worse."
While another added: "This is absolute dross. Unimaginative crap," and one fan replied to the announcement by saying: "It has no design inspiration at all. Just lazy, and playing the fans as mugs."
