Rangers player exit blocked after Lawrence Shankland update
Bojan Miovski is set to stay at Rangers past the January transfer window as he returns to the fold due to their injury woes, sources have told Football Insider.
Miovski scored his first Rangers goal since mid-April as he grabbed the winner against St Mirren in midweek.
The North Macedonian international has struggled for minutes in attack so far this season behind the likes of Lawrence Shankland, Ryan Naderi and new signing Kevin Kelsy.
New club captain Shankland is set to face three months on the sidelines with a serious hamstring injury, however, meaning Miovski is in line for increased game time ahead of the new year.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, Miovski's return to the side on a more regular basis could see Rangers decide against letting him leave the club in January.
He recently parted ways with his agent after failing to secure a move away from Ibrox during the summer transfer window.

Sources have revealed to Football Insider that Miovski remains keen on leaving Rangers in search of a better guarantee of regular starts.
He could well enter the starting eleven for the first time this season as they take on Rangers in the Premier Sports Cup on Sunday, with the place then his to lose for the foreseeable future.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "Lawrence Shankland is the latest to be injured, he could be out for three to four months with this hamstring injury that requires surgery. We know that Chermiti is probably out for the rest of season, so Miovski is going to have to play a role for Derek McInnes right now, and he did that in midweek when he came off the bench to score that late winner against St Mirren.
"I don't see anything happening with Miovski right now because of Rangers’ injury problems, and because he's definitely going to have a role to play for McInnes while those players are out."
Rangers working on Lewis Ferguson deal for January
The focus at Ibrox has already switched to the turn of the year, when Rangers will have another opportunity to bolster McInnes' squad.
They have long been linked with a move for Bologna and Scotland star Ferguson, who supported the club as a child and is the son of Ibrox hero Derek.
Sources have revealed to Football Insider that Rangers admire Ferguson but will have to pay close to £15m for his services in the next window.
He agreed personal terms with the Gers in the summer, but they decided against ever making an official bid for his services.
