Rangers are set to make Bristol City right-back Ross McCrorie their second signing of the ongoing transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The Gers completed a quick deal for Lawrence Shankland in the summer and are now reportedly closing in on a £900,000 deal with the EFL Championship club.

The 28-year-old has agreed the terms of three-year contract with the Light Blues, and an official announcement is imminent in G51.

With a deal for McCrorie all but wrapped up, the Ibrox hierarchy should make Dundee's Luke Graham their next priority target.

Derek McInnes lacks depth in his backline after the departures of Nasser Djiga and Derek Cornelius from the Glaswegian outfit at the end of the season.

Emmanuel Fernandez and John Souttar are currently the only two natural central defenders at the Govan side's disposal, and they should look to make at least a couple of additions in the position.

Luke Graham transfer latest at Rangers

Graham is attracting interest from the Gers this summer, but Portsmouth are also said to be in the race for him.

The 22-year-old made 36 appearances in the William Hill Premiership in the 2025-26 campaign, keeping six clean sheets, and established himself as one of the most highly-rated youngsters in Scotland.

Sources told Football Insider on 23 June that the Ibrox hierarchy were preparing to submit a formal offer for Graham as they were ready to firm up their interest in the defender.

Pompey have also stepped up their interest in the young centre-back, and it remains to be seen whether the Glaswegian outfit can win the race for him.

Luke Graham ambition evident as Rangers ready transfer proposal

Derek McInnes set for Ibrox revolution fans have been waiting for

McInnes has been unveiled as the Rangers manager and has shared his ambition to bring instant success to the Govan side next season.

The former Hearts boss almost made history with the Jam Tarts in the current campaign and he feels like the right choice to replace Danny Rohl, who many fans in G51 thought lacked experience to lead the Gers to silverware.

McInnes is known for building his team around a core group of Scottish talent, something supporters have been crying out for, with more leadership and nous wanted in the dugout.
