Cardiff City could now win the race for Jens Hjerto-Dahl this summer transfer window in what has been an intense battle with Rangers for his signature.

A new report has emerged which claims the Bluebirds remain in a strong position to seal a deal as talks continue with Tromso.

Club owner Vincent Tan has taken a club interest in the negotiations for the 20-year-old midfielder, and there is growing optimism behind the scenes that they can get a deal done.

This would be a huge blow for Rangers, who have been linked with Hjerto-Dahl throughout the transfer window, and looked to be winning the race last week.
