Rangers have joined the race to sign Milan Vitalis this summer transfer window.

The midfielder could depart ETO FC Gyor after winning the Nemzeti Bajnoksag I title.

GOAL on 29 May has claimed that Rangers are monitoring the 24-year-old, and also face competition from Celtic and Aberdeen.

Vitalis had been on fire this campaign and netted 10 goals, while also providing six assists, which has resulted in growing interest in his services.

If the Gers can get the deal over the line, it would certainly be a significant coup and a certain upgrade on Thelo Aasgaard.

Milan Vitalis can help provide goals from Rangers’ midfield

Goals were difficult to come by from midfield at Rangers this season as they finished their campaign in poor fashion.

Nicolas Raskin was perhaps the only one who was contributing regularly in attack, as he netted five times and picked up seven assists.

Players such as Aasgaard struggled to consistently contribute in attack and only picked up nine goal contributions in the Scottish Premiership despite playing further forward than Raskin.

This is something Vitalis simply does not struggle with, as he picked up a league title for his troubles this season.

Therefore, the Hungary international could be the perfect upgrade on the former Luton Town star and finally add an extra threat to the team.

He is also someone that Rangers must look to finally end their trophyless run, with Vitalis already proving himself to be a winner this season.

Will Aasgaard leave Rangers this summer?

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Aasgaard is unlikely to leave Rangers this summer.

Despite his poor first season at Ibrox, he remains highly thought of behind the scenes.

Danny Rohl views the midfielder as an important part of his squad despite often choosing to rotate him from the starting XI, and has no plans to let him go.

As a result, there is hope that after a full season of Scottish football, he can now develop into a star player in the Premiership.

However, it remains to be seen if the midfielder can finally live up to the hype and if Milan will damage his chances of breaking into the first-team if he is signed.
