Sources: Mason Munn given green light for Rangers transfer

Rangers' young goalkeeper Mason Munn is a loan target for several clubs in England and Scotland, sources have told Football Insider.

The 20-year-old is widely regarded as one of the Ibrox outfit's most promising young talents, and has amassed plenty of potential suitors.

The young stopper spent time on loan at both Dunfermline and Forfar last term, and is now gearing up for another loan move.

Munn has been told he will be allowed to leave Rangers for another stint elsewhere, with his parent club potentially set to have their pick of several clubs.

The Northern Ireland U20 international has made significant progress in his development in recent years, and is now ready for a new challenge.

Rangers' goalkeeping department is already full at senior level, and that could open the door for the starlet to head out on loan.

Mason Munn set for new loan challenge

Munn has spent time away from Ibrox in recent years in a bid to gain senior first-team experience.

Last year's stints at Dunfermline and Forfar brought a combined total of 14 appearances, with the youngster struggling to establish himself at both clubs.

Nevertheless, he now has experience in both Scottish League 2 and the Scottish Championship, with the chance to move to England now on the cards.

Rangers already have several young talents out on loan at the moment, and Munn could soon become the latest to join that list.

He made his senior debut for Rangers back in 2024-25, and the club are now working to help him take the next step towards becoming a first-team regular.

Rangers ready to trigger late signing spree

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown recently told Football Insider that Rangers are planning a signing spree in the latter stages of the window, after a "miserable" start to the season.

The Glasgow giants are still waiting for their first win under new boss Derek McInnes, who hasn't hidden his desire to see his squad strengthened further in recent weeks.
