Manchester United continue to bring in significant commercial revenue after receiving a £30million boost in their latest accounts.

Man United have smashed their club-record revenue after publishing their accounts for 2024-25 last week, revealing their turnover increased from £661.8m to £666.5m.

That ensures Man United continue to bring in the second-highest revenue in the Premier League behind Manchester City, who are yet to post their latest figures but generated £715m of turnover in 2023-24.

Ruben Amorim’s side are among several top-flight clubs looking to capitalise on commercial opportunities as they aim to continue improving their revenue.

5 – Chelsea (£225m)

Chelsea have faced sponsorship issues over the past couple of years after failing to land a permanent deal for their front of shirt.

However, the Blues’ latest accounts for 2023-24 revealed their commercial revenue increased from £210m in 2022-23 to £225m.

That came despite an overall fall in revenue from £512m to £468m due to Chelsea’s lack of European football in the 2023-24 campaign.

4 – Tottenham (£255m)

Tottenham have enjoyed great commercial success since moving into their new stadium in 2019, with former executive chairman Daniel Levy capitalising on various opportunities in recent years.

Despite a drop in overall revenue from £550m in 2022-23 to £528m in 2023-24, Spurs’ commercial income surged from £228m to £255m across the same period.

Tottenham could agree a lucrative stadium naming rights deal to strengthen their revenues further.

3 – Liverpool (£308m)

Liverpool have also enjoyed strong commercial growth in recent years, with the club agreeing various deals with new partners.

The Reds posted a club-record revenue in their latest published accounts for 2023-24 after their turnover improved from £594m in 2022-23 to £614m.

Meanwhile, their commercial revenue increased from £272m to £308m across the same period.

Liverpool could earn more than £100m a year from their new kit manufacturer deal with Adidas, potentially providing their commercial income with a significant boost this season.

2 – Man United (£333m)

Man United’s revenue was boosted by a significant increase in commercial income, which improved from £303m in 2023-24 to £333m last season – marking a £30m uplift.

However, that figure could fall this season as Amorim’s side are struggling to agree new sponsorship deals.

Marriott International – the world’s largest hotel company – decided not to extend its sponsorship deal with the Manchester giants after it expired at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Man United are also currently without a training kit partner after their Tezos deal, which was worth at least £20m a year, came to an end this summer.

1 – Man City (£345m)

In their latest published accounts for 2023-24, Pep Guardiola’s side’s turnover increased from £713m in 2022-23 to £715m, with their commercial revenue improving from £341m to £345m across the same period.

Man City are now closing in on a £1.5billion sponsorship deal with Etihad Airways as they look to continue increasing their overall revenue.
