'Real favourite of mine' - Exclusive: Brown singles out Wolves star in 'Unique' rave review

Michael Brown has been left raving over the impact that Wolves striker Raul Jimenez has on his teammates at Molineux.

The former Sheffield United and Leeds midfielder, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, has heralded the link-up play between the front three under Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Portuguese boss has regularly used Diogo Jota and Adama Traore to support Jimenez up front, the trio linking up again in the 3-2 win over Tottenham.

However, Brown has singled out the 28-year-old hitman as one of his firm favourites in the Premier League this season, highlighting how he brings others into play.

“They’ve got a unique style, they’re really good to watch and that was a big statement (v Spurs),” Brown told Football Insider.

“Jota, Jimenez – who’s a real favourite of mine – and Traore, together as a front three, that’s a really powerful front three.

“I do really like the link work of Jimenez, he can bring people into that attacking front play, you can really let him be the focus and you get up and get picked out.”

Jimenez, who arrived at Molineux on an initial loan deal from Benfica in 2018, has established himself as a mainstay of Nuno’s side, with 86 games and 39 goals under his belt.

Having signed for a record-breaking fee last season, the Mexican international has gone on to score 22 goals and chip in with 10 assists this season.

In other Wolves news, a former striker has compared one senior player at Molineux to two current Liverpool stars.
