Reliable journalist: Leeds 24-year-old set for Elland Road exit after key development
Leeds United striker Pawel Cibicki was spotted at the Legia Warsaw game last night, along with his agent.
Phil Hay, a senior reporter on the Yorkshire Evening Post, picked up on a tweet from a Polish Insider, who claimed that the 24-year-old was a player of interest to the POlish club.
He also pointed out that both of Cibicki’s parents are Polish, and that the player has joint Swedish and Polish nationality.
Hay added that Cibicki is one of the players that the club wants to get rid of this summer.

Football Insider verdict:
Things haven’t worked out for the Swedish striker at Elland Road. Some fans don’t think he’s been given a proper chance, but regardless it looks like he’s going to leave in the summer and it looks like he could be on his way to Warsaw. Since joining for around £1.5million from Malmo, Cibicki has only made seven Championship appearances and hasn’t scored a single goal. He hasn’t featured at all under Paul Heckingbottom and last made the pitch at the end of January. He’s one of Orta’s failures, although fans might be wondering why he wasn’t given a chance when the team was doing so badly in front of goal. However, he was hardly prolific at Malmo, with just 12 goals in 81 appearances, which makes him seem like a colossal waste of money. It will be interesting to see how much Leeds can get for him now – it’s unlikely to be anywhere near the £1.5million.
