Reliable journalist reveals why Charlie Taylor missed Leeds clash v Preston
By Harvey Byrne
Charlie Taylor missed Leeds’ clash against Preston on Monday afternoon due to an achilles injury, according to a reliable journalist.
The 23-year-old full-back was not part of the 18-man squad for the encounter at Deepdale, sparking much speculation after long-term links with a move to the Premier League.
However, BBC West Yorkshire correspondent Adam Pope revealed on his personal Twitter account that the Leeds star had only missed the clash due to an injury.
Taylor has been one of the stars of Leeds’ impressive back four this campaign, starring in 25 appearances for his club.

However, the youth graduate was brought off in the second half of the previous win against Brentford.
Fans would have probably accepted that injury ruled him out of the clash against the Lilywhites, but manager Garry Monk stated that Taylor would be available for Boxing Day.
Leeds fans are currently eager to keep all of their star players at the club with the side performing so well in the Championship this season.
However, Taylor’s contract runs out in the summer and the Yorkshire giants may be forced to cash in during the next window to ensure a fee for their key man.
