Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to quit the Gunners this summer after it has emerged that the 26-year-old is unhappy with the new terms that the club have offered him, according to a report.
The Sun details that unless the North London club come back with an improved offer, the England international will seek to make a career for himself elsewhere.
It is believed that both parties are miles apart in their idea of an agreement in spite of Arsene Wenger stating that talks were ‘progressing well.’
This comes just weeks after German teammate Mesut Ozil had his terms with the Gunners extended and a dramatic £200,000-per-week increase on his pay packet.
Wilshere’s contract expires at the Emirates in the summer when he will be free to leave the club.
The midfielder has been blighted by injuries with Arsenal which is thought to have been the reasoning behind the club’s incentive-based contract offer.
According to the Sun the midfielder maestro earns £120,000-per-week but under new terms his deal will be decreased by 25% to £90,000-per-week.
They say there is co chance of him signing a new deal under these terms.
However, it is thought that with a number of lucrative bonuses built into the package to boost it up, there will be enough incentive for Wilshere to want to stay in North London.
