Report: PL rivals plot swoop for £22.5m Liverpool flop

Underwhelming Liverpool attacker Lazar Markovic could be on his way out of Anfield, as the Russian outfit Spartak Moscow are interested in him, according to a report.
The Liverpool Echo report that the Russian champions are keen to bring the Serbian in, ending his underwhelming spell at Liverpool.
Markovic never managed to make an impact since his arrival in 2014 at Anfield, and has subsequently been shipped out on loan to three different clubs.
The report also states that West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing the £22.5million man, as they search for attacking options.
Markovic hasnt played for the Reds since their win over QPR in May 2015.
Football Insider verdict:
Lazar Markovic looked so promising whilst playing for Benfica, but has failed to hit those heights ever since. He is not up to the standard that Jurgen Klopp demands, and has tried his hand at a few different clubs on loan, looking inconsistent during those spells. Perhaps a new permanent club is what is required to rekindle his faltering career, and inject some much needed confidence in the Serbian, who will want regular football in the run up to the World Cup. The 23-year-old is still young so has time to redevelop his skill set, however he could favour a move to stay in the Premier League if West Brom do come knocking as apposed to Russia.
In other Liverpool transfer news, it has been reported that the Reds have agreed terms with this European sensation.
