Tottenham have a transfer budget of £35million going into the January transfer window, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claims that Spurs could potentially boost their kitty by offloading some of their players and it is understood that Danny Rose, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Michel Vorm may be set to leave North London this month.
The report also names five potential transfer targets for manager Mauricio Pochettino, with left-backs and strikers being the common theme.
Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon and Manchester United’s Luke Shaw are believed to be wanted by Spurs at left-back as they could potentially lose the services of Rose.
The Daily Mail adds that Hamburg forward Jann-Fiete Arp, Bordeaux attacker Malcolm and Athletic Bilbao target man Gorka Guruzeta are also possible attacking options that Tottenham may decide to look at in January.
Football Insider verdict
If Harry Kane gets injured then it’s going to be a massive worry for Tottenham. The England international has had a brilliant year but his current back-up options at Wembley are nowhere near good enough to fill the void left by him should he ever be sidelined. Fernando Llorente has somehow managed to be no better than Vincent Janssen was last term so Pochettino should definitely look at a new striker. Rose’s situation at the club isn’t ideal either. The ex-Leeds youngster clearly isn’t happy with his wages at the club after a revealing interview in the summer. He should be moved on this month if possible.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs are joint favourites to sign this Newcastle first-team star in January.
