Report: Everton in four-horse race for £12m-rated forward, player in contract stand-off
By Dominic Toner
Everton are one of the club’s interested in Burnley forward Andre Gray, according to a report.
The Daily Star claim that the 25-year-old may be set to leave Turf Moor in the summer as talks over an extension are at stalemate.
It is understood that Burnley may have to sell the player whose contract expires at the end of next season and West Brom are planning a £12million swoop.
The report details that Everton, West Ham and Stoke are also interested in the Premier League striker.
Gray has enjoyed a fantastic first season in the top-flight after firing Burnley to promotion from the Championship last season.

The Englishman has scored nine goals in 25 appearances this season and is blessed with phenomenal pace.
He has become a crucial member of Sean Dyche’s side and is helping them steer clear of a relegation battle.
Football Insider verdict:
Everton will certainly need to add an extra striker to their ranks next season, especially if they secure a European spot. They currently have star man Romelu Lukaku leading the line, but he does not have much competition for a starting position. The Toffees manager Ronald Koeman is keen to build a squad that can compete with the top six of the Premier League and the attacking development could do with some boosts. Gray would be an interested addition and it would be yet another step up in his career. The forward has proved this season that he is capable of scoring in the top-flight and continues to impress at every level he plays. He would give the Merseyside club a slightly different attacking option and £12million could turn out to be a fantastic price in today’s market.
