Tottenham are prepared to sell Mousa Dembele, Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose, and Victor Wanyama this summer as they attempt to recoup £170million, according to a report.
The Mail state that the club wants to put the funds towards their foray in the upcoming transfer market and value the three of Alderweireld, Wanyama, and Rose at £50m apiece, while Dembele is £20m.
England’s left-back, Rose, has previously admitted that he would like a move to the north, while Alderweireld has left out in the cold by manager Mauricio Pochettino since his return to fitness.
With the club looking to improve ahead of the new season, it’s a move they are willing to take.
Football Insider verdict:
Most Tottenham fans will accept that Alderweireld and Rose will be moving on in the summer, but losing Wanyama and Dembele too would lead to question marks over the club’s ambition. The Belgian 30-year-old is key to the side’sprogression at every level and in tough games, he has been the player his teammates look to to provide a moment of ingenuity. Mauricio Pochettino has previously described him as a “genius” so why would the manager sanction his exit now? The only reason would be that Pochettino has upgrades in his sights, which could make for an exciting summer.
