Arsenal have won the race to sign teen sensation Domingo Quina from Chelsea, Football Insider sources understand.

The 16-year-old playmaker has been targeted by a string of leading Premier League clubs after he made it clear he would not be staying in the Stamford Bridge youth set-up.

Liverpool, Tottenham and the two Manchester clubs all made moves for the Portugal starlet, who has now agreed to join Arsenal.

A Gunners recruitment source has told

Football Insider

that Quina is set to finalise a deal to Emirates Stadium in the next 24 hours.

It is regarded as a major coup for Arsenal in youth recruitment circles, as Quina joined Chelsea as a 13-year-old from Benfica and the west Londoners had high hopes for him.

The teenager, who has returned to England after playing for Portugal Under-17s in Croatia, is predominantly used in a central midfield or No10 role and is renowned for his dribbling and technical ability.
