Revealed: Celtic make transfer decision after holding talks with 24-year-old

EXCLUSIVE By Pete O’Rourke

Celtic have ended their interest in former Hull City defender Moses Odubajo, Football Insider sources understand.

The Scottish champions have been weighing up a move for free agent Odubajo as they look to bolster their full-back options ahead of next season.

Odubajo linked up with Celtic at their training camp in Austria last week and held talks with the Glasgow giants about a deal at Parkhead, but a well-placed source has told Football Insider that Brendan Rodgers has opted not to pursue his interest in the 24-year-old.

Odubajo has seen his last two seasons ravaged by two serious knee injuries, but he is now fully fit and looking to find himself a new club after turning down a new deal at Hull.

The former Brentford defender helped Hull win promotion to the Premier League in 2016 and a number of Championship clubs are thought to be monitoring his situation.

Celtic will now look elsewhere as they aim to strengthen their defensive options with the club so far only bringing in Odsonne Edouard on a permanent deal from Paris Saint-Germain so far this summer.
