Josip Juranovic is in Glasgow today for a Celtic medical as he completes a £2.6million move, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

Legia Warsaw have accepted a Hoops bid for the right-back and he has been granted permission to head to Scotland to finalise the deal.

A Celtic source has told Football Insider that Juranovic, 26, will undergo medical tests and then put pen to paper on a contract.

He has already agreed personal terms with the Parkhead outfit.

On 17th August, this site revealed the Hoops had placed a bid for the defender.

The club had identified the Croatia international as their number one right-back target

Anthony Ralston is Celtic’s only registered right-back and they want cover and competition for him despite his impressive start to the campaign.

The 22-year-old earned more plaudits for his display against AZ Alkmaar on Wednesday night.

The young defender has been getting forward more regularly this season as has scored two goals.

Juranovic was in a similar vein of form last season, supplying eight assists from 26 league matches.

He should be fully fit and raring to go after already making nine appearances this season.

That includes Champions League qualifier matches as well as two starts in the Polish top division.

Juranovic was also involved at EURO 2020 this summer and made two appearances for Croatia.

Celtic are in excellent form, winning their last five games.

The club faces a huge two weeks with another vital Europa League clash and the Old Firm on the horizon.
