Daniel Levy will demand £50million for Kieran Trippier this summer now Mauricio Pochettino is willing for Tottenham to sell him, Football Insider understands.

The wide defender, 28, has had a mixed season for Spurs and the club are ready to cash in on him with three years remaining on his contract.

A Tottenham source told Football Insider that Pochettino will give the green light for Trippier to leave as long as the north Londoners can secure a top-quality replacement.

The manager has misgivings over the defensive ability of the England international, who played such a starring role for the national team en route to the World Cup semi-finals last summer.

White Hart Lane chairman Levy values Trippier at £50million given his proven top-level experience and the contract he has that runs until 2022.

Napoli and Manchester United are among the clubs with interest in signing Tripper, who has made 109 appearances for Tottenham since signing from Burnley in the summer of 2015.
