Revealed: Liverpool to hand huge pay rise to attacker as 3-year deal close
Liverpool are set to hand a huge pay rise to Harvey Elliott as they work on tying him to his first professional contract, Football Insider understands.
The teenager attacker has held talks with the club about signing a three-year deal soon after he turns 17 at the start of next month.
A Liverpool source has told Football Insider that the agreement will be worth a massive pay rise for Elliott to take him beyond £20,000-a-week.
Elliott signed youth terms for the Merseyside giants when they fought off intense competition to prise him from Fulham in July of last year.
He cannot pen a professional contract until his 17th birthday and the club have moved quickly to ensure he is given a deal that reflects how highly they value him.
Jurgen Klopp has already handed seven senior appearances to Elliott even though he has played mainly for the Under-23s this season.

Six of those have come in cup competitions, all of which came in the starting XI, as well as one Premier League sub appearance for the teenager.
The left-footed forward, who primarily plays on the right flank, is the youngest player to ever appear in the Premier League.
Liverpool and Fulham are still to agree a fee for him eight months after his arrival.
The Londoners want a compensation package which includes an upfront payment of more than £7million and a sell-on clause in which they would receive a percentage of any profit the runaway Premier League leaders make on his sale.
An independent tribunal is primed to make a decision on the matter should there be no breakthrough in talks between the two clubs.
In other Liverpool news, it can be REVEALED that the club are opening talks on defender deal worth £50million including bonuses.
