Revealed: Major development in Tottenham bid to sign Ryan Fraser

Tottenham are putting together a contract offer to entice Ryan Fraser this summer, Football Insider can reveal.

The Londoners are firmly in the battle to prise the 26-year-old from Bournemouth when his contract expires at the end of the season.

A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that the club are set to offer a lucrative contract to Fraser after he climbed to the top of their shopping list.

Spurs chief Levy, who spearheads the club’s transfer and contract negotiations, is keen to beat the competition to land a player wanted by Jose Mourinho.

Football Insider revealed last month Fraser has told friends he’s keen to join Tottenham if they make a move for him.

Bournemouth have attempted to tie Fraser down to an extension but he has made up his mind to quit after seven years.

Mourinho today played down transfer talk and insisted that his only priority is getting his squad up to speed ahead of the Premier League return next month.

Behind the scenes, Tottenham are keen to wrap up an early deal for Fraser, even though they may not be able to formally register him for months.
