Richarlison is expected to quit Tottenham this summer as he potentially prepares to make a sensational return to Everton in the summer transfer window.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson, who remains closely connected to the club, revealed that Spurs are “not going to get anything like £50million for him” if they opt to sell.

Richarlison has struggled to fit in at Tottenham since he joined the club in 2022, failing to nail down a regular starting place during that time.

The 27-year-old Brazil international has only made nine Premier League appearances this season, scoring twice and providing one assist.

Recruitment insider and ex-Man United chief scout Mick Brown exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Spurs are open to letting Richarlison leave the club for the right price and they are willing to listen to offers.

The striker is under contract at the club until 2027, but Spurs will have to cut their losses if they do sell Richarlison after initially buying him for £50million.

Richarlison thrived during his Everton spell

The striker may have struggled to adapt at Tottenham, but he proved himself as a goal threat in the Premier League during his time at Everton.

The Brazilian spent four years at the Merseyside giants and made 152 appearances during that time, scoring 53 goals and providing 13 assists.

Richarlison showed his appreciation to the Everton supporters during his final-ever appearance at Goodison Park earlier this season as he took the time to walk around the ground after the game to applaud the fans.

Richarlison is set to move on from Tottenham

“He's going to leave Tottenham,” Robinson told Football Insider.

“I mean, you fit him now where he is, he's only made nine Premier League appearances this year, they paid 50 million for him.

“They're not going to recoup anything like the 50 million that they paid for him, which is probably the stumbling block because we know that it's not going to be hard to deal with.

Daniel Levy is going to look at that spreadsheet and go, ‘we paid 50 million for him. What are we going to get back for him?’

“They're not going to get anything like 50 million for him, especially at 27 years old.

“Might be a nice homecoming, does he fit where Tottenham are at the moment? No, he doesn't, not with the current manager.

“Does he fit with whoever's going be in charge going forward? We'll wait and see.

“Can I see him going back to Everton? Yeah.”
