Paul Robinson is over the moon to hear Son Heung-min is set to stay at Tottenham over the international break.

The former White Hart Lane number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said it is "great news" for Jose Mourinho's side ahead of a "huge" few weeks in their Premier League campaign.

As reported by Alasdair Gold, Son has been omitted from South Korea's squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

This is despite Tottenham expecting the forward to recover from a hamstring injury suffered against Arsenal before the end of the month.

Son has been one of the Lilywhites' standout performers this season, with 18 goals and 16 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

"It is great news for Spurs because now he can prepare himself for the Premier League run-in," he told Football Insider.

"He is a massive player for Spurs. They miss him hugely when he is not there. He has been an integral part of everything they have done this year.

"The relationship he has with Harry Kane is amazing. Their best partnership is the best in the Premier League and one of the best we have ever seen in England.

"For him to stay with the medical staff at Spurs over the international break is huge. That way they can make sure he is right for the next game because it is going to be a hugely important few weeks for Spurs."
