Robinson 'worried' by Nuno's Tottenham training ground reveal
Paul Robinson is worried by Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo’s recent comments about not having time to solve problems on the training ground.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said it is “a concerning statement” from the 47-year-old after just five games of the Premier League campaign.
As quoted by the Telegraph (September 21st), Espirito Santo said his side has “many problems to solve” after the 3-0 defeat to Chelsea last Sunday.
Perhaps more concerning was the Spurs boss’ suggestion that the issues would have to be ironed out in matches as opposed to training as there is “not much time” in the coming weeks.
The Lilywhites travel to north London rivals Arsenal on Sunday after two consecutive defeats in the league.
Robinson insisted Espirito Santo should have had more than enough time in pre-season to iron out problems.

“That is worrying to hear,” he told Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs.
“They have had a full pre-season and we’re only five games into the season.
“Yes, the pre-season was shortened by the international tournaments but that is no excuse.
“Five games in and there’s problems that he doesn’t have time to solve in the training ground? That is a concerning statement if you ask me.”
Speaking on Spurs’ form last week, Espirito Santo said: “We don’t have too much time on the training ground. Let’s use the competition and let’s manage our squad.
“[There are] so many problems that we have to solve.”
