Sancho 'is in trouble' at Man United after 'worrying' development - pundit

Paul Robinson fears Jadon Sancho “is in trouble” at Man United if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sticks with the system used at Tottenham.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England goalkeeper said the 21-year-old will be “worried” by Saturday’s tactical change.

Solskjaer opted to play a 3-5-2 formation at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after a dismal 5-0 defeat to Liverpool six days earlier.

The change in approach worked wonders as United ran out comfortable 3-0 winners.

Sancho was an unused substitute in the win and in a system with no wingers, it is difficult to see where he fits.

However, Robinson suggested the Red Devils will revert back to a 4-2-3-1 in future games.

“Solskjaer played it very well against Spurs,” he told Football Insider.

“They overran the midfield. The problem is, Sancho does not fit into that system.

“I cannot see Ole playing that system every week though. It was a tactical switch-up that they had clearly worked on in the week. They stumbled on a result and a performance.

“If they are to stick with that system Sancho is in trouble. Where would he play? He’s not going to play very often if it’s the case.

“I don’t think United will play that system every week but I’m sure Sancho is worried they will.”

Sancho joined United in a £73million deal from Borussia Dortmund in January.

He’s made 11 appearances this season
