Everton manager Ronald Koeman has been pictured in Spain with Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez’s agent, Gines Carvajal.

Koeman was also pictured alongside Everton’s Director of Football Steve Walsh watching Malaga beat Celta Vigo 3-0 at La Rosaleda Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Javier Ontiveros and Recio put their side 2-0 up, before Everton target Sandro bagged a third in injury time.

This comes after Malaga Hoy reported Newcastle were keen to sign the former Barcelona star, with Sport claiming Tottenham are interested too.

It is believed Sandro has a £5.1million release clause in his contract, making him a very affordable option for the Toffees.

The pictures were tweeted by BarcaSpiral, who also claimed that Koeman was at the match to keep an eye on Sandro.

The young striker left Barcelona on a free transfer last summer after making 32 league and cup appearances for the club, scoring seven goals.

Sandro has been in fine form since leaving the Nou Camp, and has bagged 16 goals in 29 league and cup games, as well as providing three assists.

The three-time Spain Under-21 international can play as an out and out striker, as well as on either wing.

Football Insider verdict

This is good news for Toffees fans. The fact Koeman has travelled to Spain himself to see the player play and meet with his agent can only mean he is interested and will likely make a move this summer. However with Newcastle and Spurs among the other clubs interested, Koeman will have to move quickly to secure his man. Sandro has been in fine form this term and would provide a superb option for the Blues if Romelu Lukaku does move on as he has been touted to. Also he is still only 21, so if he does not quite hit the ground running, there is plenty of time for him to settle in.

In other Everton transfer news, Lukaku has hit out at his doubters in an angry Tweet.
