Kenny: Bryan may quit Sheffield United after Jokanovic 'sign'
Slavisa Jokanovic’s blunt comments about Kean Bryan could be a “sign” that he will not pen a new Sheffield United contract.
That is according to Blades legend Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the out-of-contract 24-year-old centre-back.
Bryan has been offered a new deal at Bramall Lane but is yet to commit his future to the club after he became a free agent at the start of the month.
Quoted by the Star on 11th July, newly-appointed United boss Jokanovic said: “He is not with us, so I am not thinking about him.”
Bryan had featured just four times for United until November last year but now has 19 appearances and a goal to his name.
Kenny claims that Bryan only played so much in 2020-21 because of a defensive injury crisis and his days in South Yorkshire could be numbered.

“It [Jokanovic comments] could be a sign,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“If he’s not there and he’s not injured then there’s a chance that it looks like he could be leaving.
“But whether the manager doesn’t fancy him or he’s looking at different players, who knows.
“Because of the amount of injuries, I think that was the reason why he played a lot of football last season.
“The season before he’d been sent out on loan to Bolton in the lower leagues.
“The season after that he was playing in the Premier League. There was just a few too many injuries, and that’s the only reason really.“
