Sheffield United told to terminate Olsen deal after 'terms agreed' with Aston Villa - pundit
Paddy Kenny wants Sheffield United to cancel Robin Olsen’s loan amid reports he has agreed terms with Aston Villa.
The former Blades stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, has not been impressed with the stopper since he joined the club in the summer of 2021.
He would become another January signing following the marquee captures of Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Digne, while, as revealed by Football Insider on Thursday, they have also agreed to sign Dundee United teenager Kerr Smith.
The Roma loanee has not played for Sheffield United since 6 November.
He has been replaced by Wes Foderingham, 30, following the appointment of Paul Heckingbottom as the club’s permanent manager.

Kenny can’t see a way back for Olsen and is happy for him to go.
“Listen, for me, it’s a no brainer,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“If he has the chance to go to Villa then fair enough, it’s a good move for them, he’s only here on loan anyway.
“I can’t see him getting back in the team and I wasn’t impressed with him when he did play.
“That’s just my opinion. Get him gone and get him off the wage bill and that gives us the chance to get someone else in.
“That person can actually be of use to us instead of sitting on the bench doing nothing.
“It’s a case of getting rid of a player who isn’t contributing and having the opportunity to bring in a quality player.
“It just makes sense to me.”
Olsen spent last season on loan at Everton and made 11 appearances in all competitions.
He has also made 11 appearances for Sheffield United this season.
