Tottenham fans have pleaded with their club on Twitter to sign Anderlecht star Youri Tielemans in the summer.

The Daily Mail have claimed that Spurs sent scouts to watch Tielemans in the Europa League against Zenit St. Petersburg last Thursday, as he continues to be rated as one of the best prospects in European football.

The 19-year-old wonderkid scored two superb goals for his boyhood club on Sunday during a 4-1 league win over Oostende, taking his overall tally for the season to 16 goals from midfield.

Already wearing the captain’s armband with Belgian giants Anderlecht, Tielemans has also provided nine assists during his 36 league and cup appearances this season.

Tottenham fans are keen to see their side sign the teenage wonderkid in the summer, as he continues to shine in Belgium’s top tier.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Tielemans is currently Anderlecht’s fourth-youngest player to make his debut in their trophy-laden history, coming on as a substitute back in July 2013 aged just 16.

Despite his tender age, the goalscoring midfielder has huge experience at top-flight level after clocking up 168 appearances with Anderlecht since his debut, as well as scoring 33 goals in that time.

However, the youngster is likely to cost Spurs a hefty amount if they are to enter the transfer market for him, with more than three years still remaining on his current contract.

In other Tottenham transfer news, this is why this 26-year-old must quit in the summer.
