'What a signing', 'Elite' – Liverpool fans in bits as Klopp reportedly set for shock summer move

Liverpool have been linked with a shock move for Tottenham’s tough-tackling midfielder Victor Wanyama in the summer and fans have taken to Twitter to urge Jurgen Klopp to sign the 26-year-old Kenya international.
The Daily Mail reported that Tottenham would have competition for Wanyama’s signature, with Chelsea and Man United also keen.
Wanyama was a key part of the Tottenham first team but has found himself on the fringes of the action since he returned from injury.
He’s only made 13 appearances across all competitions this season and that’s alerted the Premier League trio that he might be open for a move in the summer.
However, he’s under contract with Tottenham until 2021 and Tottenham have already said that they won’t sell any players they don’t want to in the summer.
That might make Klopp’s job hard, and Spurs selling to a direct rival would be a shock, but a move to Liverpool at the moment could be attractive for Wanyama if he was offered regular first-team football.
And, with Emre Can looking like he’s leaving on a free in the summer, Wanyama would be the perfect replacement.
That’s certainly what most Liverpool fans think and they’ve urged Klopp to bring him to Anfield in the summer, although some think that there’s no way Spurs would sell to a rival.
Here are the best reactions from Liverpool fans to the report about Wanyama:
