Simon Grayson has warning message for Leeds ahead of Preston North End clash
By Amir Mir
Preston North End manager Simon Grayson has warned Leeds that his side will make it “difficult” for them in their Championship clash on Saturday afternoon.
The Lilywhites will travel to Elland Road at the weekend looking to close the eight-point gap on the fifth-placed side who have suffered back-to-back defeats.
Preston are currently sitting two places outside of the top six after their thumping 5-0 win over Bristol City on Tuesday night.
By contrast, Garry Monk’s side suffered a 2-0 defeat at Brentford following their 1-0 loss on the road to Reading last Saturday.
Now, the Yorkshire club will host Preston on home soil and welcome back their former manager to Elland Road.

Ahead of that game, Grayson picked out two Leeds players who have stood out in his eyes and what he is hoping his promotion-chasing side will do.
“They have been strong at home this season, but we will go there and make it difficult this weekend,” Grayson told the club’s official website.
“We have got some good results away from home this season and we will be aiming to beat them and get the three points.
“Chris Wood is a handful, so we have to deal with that; Hernandez is a clever player and they seem to be quite secure at the back, but as is the case throughout the Championship, they are not unbeatable. They will have taken note about how well we have been playing and will know we can cause them problems.”
During the reverse fixture in December, Leeds thumped their opponents 4-1 away from home with Kemar Roofe, Hadi Sacko, Souleymane Doukara and Pablo Hernandez all on target.
Garry Monk’s side have a very strong record on home soil, which includes beating automatic chasers Brighton in their previous game in Yorkshire.
Dropped points against Preston could see the promotion-chasing pack close the gap on Monk’s side who have 69 points from their 40 matches.
Their opponents, who are sitting in eighth, have recorded 61 points during their campaign and have scored 12 goals in their last five matches.
