Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has claimed Liverpool have “zero interest” in signing Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas this summer, despite reported interest.
Solhekol tweeted following the Daily Express report which claimed the Reds were set to battle Man United for the Spaniard’s services this summer.
The report claims the 30-year-old still has two years left on his deal at Stamford Bridge and is on £170,000 a week.
Fabregas is reportedly waiting until the end of the season before making any decisions on his future.
The 110-time Spain international has only been a bit-part player at Chelsea this term, with Antonio Conte preferring to employ N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic in the middle of the park.
Solkehol tweeted his news via his personal Twitter account, saying: “Cesc Fabregas is a great player but Liverpool have zero interest in signing him from Chelsea this summer.”

He has made 32 appearances in all competitions this term, supplying 10 assists and scoring six goals.
The former Arsenal and Barcelona man has made upwards of 100 Premier League assists in his career, as well as 43 in La Liga.
Liverpool have struggled for depth in midfield this season and have seen mainstays Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana sidelined for long periods.
Fabregas could be exactly the sort of classy player that Jurgen Klopp needs in order to mount a serious title charge next campaign.
In other Liverpool transfer news, Van Dijk has agreed to join the club according to reports.
