Sky Sports journalist: Leeds in talks to sign 26-yr-old with eye-catching CV
Leeds United have opened talks with Championship rivals Middlesbrough as they aim to sign Adam Forshaw, according to a reliable journalist. Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie claimed on his

Christiansen may have been drawn to Forshaw's eye-catching CV, having achieved promotion in the past few seasons with both Brentford and Middlesbrough. The ex-Everton midfielder helped Brentford to a runners-up spot in 2013/14 before moving to Teesside and earning promotion via second place in 2015/16.

Leeds could do with kicking on this month but their priority should be a centre-forward. Signing Forshaw is great but United do not seem like a club who has a lot of funds to play around with this month unless players are shown the exit. £2.5million would be a lot to spend, especially after most of Leeds' business in the summer was done on the cheap but Christiansen would not fund this month unless he was confident it can change the clubs' fortunes. Forshaw is a promotion expert and could be a valuable asset. But Leeds should be prioritising elsewhere.
