Sky Sports journalist: Tottenham enter crucial stage as terms agreed over £25m transfer

Tottenham are entering a crucial stage of negotiations after agreeing a £25million fee for the transfer of Paris Saint Germain winger Lucas Moura, according to a journalist.
Sky Sports’ chief news reporter Bryan Swanson has claimed on his personal Twitter account that the north London club have agreed terms with the French giants, and that all that is left to do is to secure the 25-year-old to a contract and undertake the medical examination.

Spurs have reportedly been in pursuit of the Brazilian international for much of the January transfer window, and have until Wednesday’s deadline to complete the move.
Lucas, who has been a regular for PSG in recent years, has fallen out of favour in the French capital this season, adding just six appearances this season to his total of 229 outings, 46 goals and 50 assists.
Football Insider verdict
It appears to be a case of better late than never with Spurs’ pursuit of Lucas, but they are now seemingly one step closer to securing what would be an impressive swoop this month. He is the sort of next-level signing that fans want to see Daniel Levy make, even if he has been cast out from the French giants this season, and they will be hoping he can play a crucial role in their push for success and ultimately silverware. There should be no worries about personal terms or the medical from here on out; he is open to the move considering his situation at PSG and he has not had many injury issues throughout his career.
