Sky Sports: Everton strike midfielder agreement with English club
By Danny Wright
Everton have struck an agreement with Birmingham for Liam Walsh to return to Merseyside for training, according to a report.
Sky Sports claims that Walsh, 20, is back with the Toffees having failed to have made the matchday squad in Birmingham’s last eight Championship games.
The midfielder joined Blues on a six-month loan deal on the final day of the summer transfer window while Harry Redknapp was in charge at St. Andrew’s.
However after the ex-Tottenham boss’ sacking, Walsh has struggled to earn game time under Steve Cotterill and while loan deal with the English Championship club hasn’t been terminated, he will be training with Everton and playing for the Under-23s in order to keep up his match fitness.
The former England Under-18 international made just three appearances for Birmingham, starting just once in what has so far seemed like a wasted loan spell.

The change of manager hasn’t helped as Redknapp was axed just a couple of weeks after Walsh had signed with Blues in the Championship in the relegation zone after six straight defeats.
Walsh is yet to make a senior appearance for Everton but his return to the Under-23 side will no doubt be a major boost to their chances in Premier League 2 as he helped them win the title last season.
In other Everton news, a new evens favourite has emerged in the Toffees manager search as odds are slashed.
