Celtic fans are split down the middle after Hibernian manager and Parkhead legend Neil Lennon suggested that he could quit the Easter Road club in the summer after his men lost to Hearts.

Lennon’s side lost 2-1 to Hearts and Lennon claimed after the game that he would consider his future at the Edinburgh club after the game on Wednesday night.

“I would have been disappointed with a draw, the way we played. It wasn’t enough tonight,” said Lennon, as quoted by the Evening Times. “We’ll try to win Sunday and finish with as high but I will consider my position over the summer.”

The news has stunned most of Scottish football, and unsurprisingly Hoops fans have had their say, with one saluting his ‘will to win’ and another claiming that he didn’t believe the story.

Here are some of the best reactions from Hoops fans to Lennon’s rant:

Lennon has done very well for the newly promoted Edinburgh side, but he seems to have reacted badly now that his team are set to finish fourth in the league table, which is still a good return for a promoted side.

Lennon of course spent many years at Celtic as both player and manager, and won countless honours until he left the Hoops in 2014.

Will Lennon return to the Hoops as manager one day? You wouldn’t bet against it as perhaps he has some unfinished business at the club, as he did leave abruptly after winning the league title.

This story could yet run and run, but Lennon won’t be return to the Hoops as manager for a while yet.

In other Celtic news, the player ratings for the match v Killie aren’t very impressive
