Arsenal defender Krystian Bielik is in advanced talks to join Walsall on loan before the close of the transfer window, Football Insider sources understand.
Bielik has just recently returned to fitness after spending three months on the sidelines following shoulder surgery.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Arsenal are happy to loan out Bielik so that he regain his match fitness by playing regular first-team football.
A number of Football League clubs have expressed an interest in Bielik, but the source explained that Midlands outfit Walsall have reached an agreement in principle with Arsenal for the 20-year-old.
Bielik had a spell out on loan at Birmingham City last season and made 10 appearances as he helped them escape relegation from the Championship.
Bielik, who can play in defence or midfield, is a long way down the pecking order in Arsene Wenger’s plans and his arrival will be something of a coup for Walsall.
