Aston Villa have told Tammy Abraham’s camp they won’t pay him the £130,00-a-week deal he is seeking, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

A Villa source has told Football Insider the 23-year-old will need to rein in his demands to secure a move to the Midlands this summer.

Abraham is a target for Dean Smith’s side but he is not believed to be their first choice forward at this stage.

Aston Villa are assessing potential striker alternatives to their former loan star.

Abraham is currently on £50,000-a-week at Chelsea and his demand for an £80,000-a-week pay rise is a major stumbling block to rival clubs.

The striker has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge since the appointment of Thomas Tuchel in January.

The Blues also plan to sign a new A-list striker in this window, with Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland among the targets, so Abraham is expected to leave.

Chelsea value the England international at £40million but it is believed that a bid of £35million could be enough to seal a deal.

A product of Chelsea's academy, Abraham has two years remaining on his contract in south west London.
