Sources: Aurier agrees personal terms with PSG as Tottenham exit edges closer

Serge Aurier has agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain and is edging close to the Tottenham exit door, Football Insider has been told.

The right-back, 28, has been in talks to move to the French giants and reunite with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino since last month.

A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that PSG will meet the conditions of sale that have been set and are close to securing a full agreement.

The Ivory Coast international has accepted the offer of a lucrative four-year contract that will see him return to Paris.

All parties expect the deal to go through, and it had been well advanced before the arrival of new director of football Fabio Paratici.

Aurier will also leave regardless of the views of the soon-to-be-appointed new manager.

He is out of contract in the summer of 2022 and the upcoming window represents the last chance to secure a major fee.

Football Insider revealed in March that the Londoners would look to offload Aurier as Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff regarded him as “uncoachable”.

Tottenham are in the market for a new senior right-back this summer.

Matt Doherty had been expected to replace Aurier as the first choice in that position after joining from Wolves last summer but has failed to settle.

Aurier joined Tottenham in the summer of 2017 for a fee of around £23million.

He has made 110 appearances for the club, including 27 in the recently completed domestic season.
