Chelsea could include defender Levi Colwill in a player-plus-cash deal for Brighton midfield star Moises Caicedo, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed Brighton will demand a fee of between £80-85million for the Ecuador international after he signed a fresh four-year contract at the Amex Stadium in March.

Caicedo is also the subject of interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United - with Brighton reportedly rejecting a £70million bid from the Gunners in the final throes of the January window.

Meanwhile, the Seagulls have expressed an interest in signing £30million-rated Colwill permanently following his successful loan on the south coast in the 2022-23 campaign.

He featured 23 times for the south coast club in the 2022-23 season, grabbing three assists and becoming a key part of their defence as they secured Europa League qualification.

The England Under-21 international is out of contract at Chelsea in June 2025.

Meanwhile, Caicedo notched one goal and one assist in 43 appearances in all competitions in a historic 2022-23 campaign for Brighton.

Chelsea

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Caicedo would be interested in a summer move to Stamford Bridge - and it is believed he has an understanding with Brighton allowing him to leave if the right offer comes in.

Chelsea have already confirmed the appointment of ex-Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino ahead of the 2023-24 season.
