Sources: Derby County plot move to sign Portsmouth star Clark Robertson
Derby County are plotting a move for Portsmouth captain Clark Robertson, sources have told Football Insider.
The 29-year-old defender is out of contract next summer and League One promotion hopefuls Derby are preparing a January swoop.
Rams boss Paul Warne is a big admirer of centre-back Robertson having worked with him at Rotherham and sees him as a key addition to his rebuilding plans at Pride Park.
Robertson has made 18 appearances for Pompey this season with 16 of those being starts.
He missed the start of the season through injury but has been undroppable since his return.
Warne knows Robertson well from their time together at Rotherham as the defender made 69 appearances under the new Rams boss.
