Marco Silva has given the green light for Everton to sell Ademola Lookman this summer, Football Insider can reveal.

The Goodison Park manager is an admirer of the forward, 21, but has to generate the bulk of his transfer kitty from sales and has identified the youngster as an asset the club can cash in on.

An Everton source has told Football Insider that the club are "confident" of making a £10million profit on Lookman, who was signed from Charlton Athletic in January 2017 for £11million.

The England Under-21 international was on the fringes of the team for most of the recently-completed campaign, making just three league starts among 24 appearances in all competitions.

Everton rejected a series of £20million-plus bids from RB Leipzig for Lookman last summer after his impressive loan spell at the Bundesliga big hitters.

But the wide attacker has been unable to replicate the impact he made in German back in the Premier League.

Lookman has scored just four goals from 48 Everton appearances and has a contract that expires in 2021.
